Wage Range Maximum: $21.67/hr. (plus up to 7% seniority pay which is awarded at 5/10/15 yr benchmarks)
Purpose of Job:
- This position will work primarily with the inventory control by receiving and storing cast parts. The job requires self-motivation and the ability to work with many people in a high demand environment.
Responsibilities and Job Requirements:
- Must be able to read, write and demonstrate basic math skills and use a tape measure.
- Must have actual demonstrated experience as a forklift operator and maintain a forklift operator license.
- Must be able to drive the flat-bed truck (automatic transmission) and box truck (manual transmission).
- Must be able to organize and respond to multiple requests in a timely manner.
- Must be able to operate an overhead crane.
- Must gain knowledge of machine parts and machine shop supplies.
- Must be able to operate a forklift in close quarters in aisles and storerooms and move heavy machinery with appropriate forklift methods.
- Must be able to separate and count castings.
- Empty all shop trash containers and barrel crushing for disposal.
- Stage heat treat and slicking castings as needed.
- Assist in unloading trucks for receiving and loading trucks for shipments.
- Maintain the rough yard and inside storage areas in an organized and efficient manner and in accordance with inventory locations.
- Must be trained for and perform hazardous and non-hazardous waste management responsibilities including maintain compliance records and spill reclamation.
- Assist in collection of storm water samples.
- Must develop knowledge of the storeroom process.
- Must be self-motivated and work well with a minimum of supervision.
- Must have an excellent safety record.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time.
- Have a good sense of balance.
- Have good eye, hand, and foot coordination.
- Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights.
- Regularly sitting on and operating a powered industrial truck.
- Ability to work outside in all types of weather.
