Independent Appraiser

We have been in business for 45 years and have a reputation for handling claims quickly and efficiently. Candidate for this position is required to have at least 2 years of car/light truck physical damage estimating, repair and/or claims experience. Position is part-time to start but can easily work into full time work if you desire. This would be an excellent side job for someone with auto damage experience as you can schedule appraisals around your schedule.

The Appraiser's responsibility is to perform auto appraisals in the field. This position requires primarily field work and estimates can be written from a home based office. Desirable candidates should have at least 2 years of prior repair and/or estimating experience, possess strong oral and written communication and customer service skills. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented with good organization. A working knowledge of the Mitchell and CCC One estimating programs and strong computer skills are a must.

Appraisals must be completed within 48-72 hours of assignment but you choose when to schedule inspection and write the estimate.

Qualifications and Skills

• At least 2 years of prior repair or estimating of car/light truck damages.
• Working knowledge of Mitchell Estimating and CCC One Estimating programs.
• Strong computer skills as multiple uploading databases are utilized on a daily basis.
• Organized and efficient. Claims need to be seen and written within 48-72 hours.

Compensation

This is a commission based position where you receive compensation on a per claim basis. Mileage is reimbursed outside of a 50 mile radius.
