J. Hutchins, Inc. is seeking an experienced Superintendent to join our company.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assumes leadership of all field operations, including self-performed and subcontracted work
- Responsible for the successful execution of fieldwork and project safety.
- Oversee projects from beginning to end
- Complete work per plan and specs.
- Schedule the sequence of activities and identify the resources required to maintain a successful schedule.
- Develop and implement a site logistics plan involving earthwork, utility pipelines, and roadways
- Coordinate construction activities, shutdowns, testing and inspections
- Lead the coordination of equipment use
- Manage relations with subcontractors, vendors, and, as necessary, the owner.
- Contribute to project start-up and close-out efforts
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of three years’ experience successfully supervising employees and subcontractors on a construction site.
- Must have a strong work ethic, be reliable, and maintain a positive professional attitude.
- Must be safety focused and have excellent communication skills
- Must have high attention to detail
- Must have computer skills
