Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all field activities, ensuring adherence to project requirements, safety protocols, budget constraints, and schedules.
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and internal construction teams, including other superintendents as required.
- Assist in preconstruction planning, project start-up, buy-out, and scheduling.
- Develop and implement site logistics plans and activity sequencing for efficient project execution.
- Enforce safety policies and compliance with OSHA and industry regulations.
- Conduct quality control measures, ensuring projects meet design specifications and standards.
- Communicate effectively with project teams regarding changes, progress, and potential challenges.
- Lead weekly project and subcontractor meetings.
- Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring expectations are exceeded.
- Oversee budget management, cost control, and invoice review.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Mentor and coach direct reports, setting performance and development goals.
Must-Have Skills:
- 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting commercial construction plans and specifications.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience with healthcare, commercial, education, industrial, and retail projects.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- CPR/First Aid Certification.
- 10-Hour OSHA Construction Safety Certification (30-Hour preferred).
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with wood-framed construction.
- Experience managing projects valued at $10 million or more.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
- Familiarity with CMiC and P6 Scheduling software.
