Overview
Jaxson's Restaurant & Ice Cream Parlor is seeking a hands-on night manager to oversee ice cream fountain service. Responsibilities include training, directing and working with the fountain staff, as well as cash handling and cleanliness. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all products meet our standards for taste, texture, and presentation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and mix ingredients according to established recipes to create various memorable dishes for our guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the fountain area, adhering to food safety standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, assisting with inventory control as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to develop new flavors and product offerings.
- Lead in training new staff members on ice cream fountain work including scooping and plate presentation, as well as safety and sanitation expectations.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers and taking feedback on products.
Skills
- Experience in hospitality management or the food industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with kitchen management practices, including inventory control and food safety regulations.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of ice cream preparation or casual dining operations is a plus.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience in interviewing or training staff is beneficial.
