A/R Follow Up Representative

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented A/R Follow Up Representative to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring accurate and timely follow-up on accounts receivable, particularly within the medical billing and collections process. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and coding systems, enabling them to navigate complex billing issues effectively.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze accounts receivable reports to identify outstanding claims and follow up accordingly.
• Communicate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and patients to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Utilize knowledge of CPT, and ICD-10 coding to ensure accurate claim submissions and adjustments.
• Maintain organized records of all communications and actions taken on accounts.
• Collaborate with the medical office team to address any issues related to medical records or coding discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies during the follow-up process.

Experience

• Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, coding systems (CPT, ICD-10), and medical collection processes is essential.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data from various systems related to accounts receivable.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with various stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Tebra/Kareo is a bonus
