Our Client in Wilmington, DE is seeking a Paralegal to join their team! This is a Full Time, Temp to Hire position with the possibility of Direct Hire for the right candidate. This role is a great opportunity to join a well-established, multi-attorney firm in Delaware! The pay rate for this position will commensurate with experience and range from $26.00 - $43.00 per hour.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Compile and prepare asset reports, inventories and accountings.
- Preparation of estate and inheritance tax returns.
- Preparation of gift tax returns with understanding of Generation Skipping Tax.
- Handle filings with the Register of Wills and manage e-filing processes.
- Coordinate distribution (transfer) of assets to beneficiaries or trusts.
- Maintain trust and estate accounts and records.
- Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and financial account representatives.
- Assist in anticipating and meeting client goals.
- Organize and manage correspondence and documentation with meticulous attention to detail.
- Special projects as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required. CPA preferred.
- Understanding of fiduciary income taxation and Generation Skipping Tax.
- Proficiency in Excel and Word, with strong general computer skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
