Our client, a highly prestigious local University located in Princeton, NJ, is seeking a Restaurant / Dining Hall Manager to help with the management of all aspects of food service, production, personnel and financial reporting in a variety of full-service retail operations. Reporting to the Senior or Operations Manager, the assistant manager will be responsible to lead associates and nurture a positive culture.
Interested candidates must be available to work Sunday - Thursday, 12 : 30pm-9 : 00pm weekly.
This position offers an immediate start!
Pay Rate : $30 / hr.
Requirements and Responsibilities :
General Operations :
- Maintains standards for service levels and hospitality at all times for all meal periods with special attention to signage, digital signage, set up and preparedness at opening and closing of operations
- Monitors customer satisfaction through table touching, being present on the floor during meal period
Team & Training :
Directly supervises all assigned front line associatesEvaluates employee performances to support and nurture a highly inspired team providing specific qualitative and quantitative feedback that the associate can act upon to enhance their workEnsures that proper cash handling procedures are always followedFood & Work Place Safety :
Maintains high level of food safety and sanitation standardsProvides training (to include safe and proper equipment handling) and supervision to all staff for these standardsMaintains quality facilities through regular inspections of all retail dining facilitiesEnsures compliance with all state, local and university food safety, work place safety and HACCP policies and proceduresEnsures a safe work environment through addressing safety concerns to eliminate safety hazards; investigates and report incidents, enforces safety work rules and proceduresSkills & Qualifications :
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a restaurant management level positionAbility to regularly lift and control 40 poundsFlexibility with scheduling . Weekend work and work outside of the unit is required , as well as nights and holidays as requiredKnowledge of and experience with the use and maintenance requirements for kitchen equipment including broilers, steam jacketed kettles, pressure steamers, ovens, woks, grills, slicers, choppers, mixers and various hand toolsKnowledge of technology for : Digital Signage, Point of Sale retail applications, use of technology in retail operations, social media, graphic design, creative media art for signage and content developmentPlease submit your resume for immediate consideration.
