Job Summary
The mission of the Collections Security Officer is to execute video gaming collections while maintaining a secure environment. This position requires carrying a firearm. Candidates must be 21 years or older, have a valid driver's license with a good record, hold a valid FOID card, and pass Illinois Gaming Board and Illinois Department of Professional Regulations requirements, including fingerprinting.
Job Responsibilities:
• Maintain strong Customer Service Orientation.
• Secure, handle, and transport currency with professionalism and precision.
• Safely transport and account for issued funds daily to resolve issues related to gaming.
• Accurately maintain detailed records of fund transactions.
• Generate and collect machine activity reports.
• Maintain constant awareness of surroundings and communicate effectively.
• Adhere to all department, company, and state policies and procedures.
• Assist in other responsibilities as assigned.
Education:
High school diploma or GED required.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must pass and maintain necessary licensing for Gaming and Armed Security.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Possess a valid FOID card.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Effective communication skills with customers, peers, managers, and across functions.
• Prior experience in private security, military, or law enforcement preferred.
Supervisory Responsibility:
No supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
The employee works around equipment daily and is exposed to moderate noise levels. The work environment is climate-controlled with temperatures ranging from 50°F to 90°F.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands of this job include occasional walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, using hands and fingers to handle objects, reaching with hands or arms, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
