General Summary
As a RCM Manager, you will serve as the subject matter expert in condition monitoring (CM) technologies, providing technical leadership and guidance to the reliability team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of reliability analysts, providing guidance on best practices, methodologies, and technical skills development.
- Develop and implement comprehensive condition monitoring programs tailored to the specific needs of our organization and equipment assets.
- Utilize advanced nondestructive testing techniques and tools to assess the integrity and performance of critical components across multiple CM areas.
- Interpret data from various condition monitoring sources, including vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic testing, and more, to identify trends, anomalies, and potential failures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize maintenance activities, optimize asset performance, and minimize unplanned downtime.
- Conduct in-depth root cause analyses to identify underlying factors contributing to equipment failures and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Drive reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) initiatives, including the development of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to enhance asset reliability and longevity.
- Stay abreast of industry advancements, emerging technologies, and best practices in reliability engineering to continuously improve processes and methodologies.
- Develop and deliver training programs and workshops to enhance the knowledge and skills of reliability team members and stakeholders.
- Act as a liaison with external vendors, contractors, and industry experts to leverage specialized expertise and resources as needed
Must-Have Qualifications for RCM Manager:
Education and Certifications:
- High School Diploma.
- Level 2 Certification from the Vibration Institute.
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT) from the Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP).
- Certification from the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) Level 2 or equivalent in CM area of specialty.
- ISO Category 3 certification.
- ASNT Level 1 certification or equivalent in at least one secondary CM technology.
Experience:
- 5 years of experience operating and maintaining rotating equipment and maintenance management.
- 3 years of hands-on experience in condition monitoring, reliability engineering, or a related field.
Technical Knowledge:
- Proficiency in Conditioned Based Monitoring (CBM).
- Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS), including working knowledge of Siemens Desigo software and hardware.
- Knowledge of and ability to use schematics, test equipment, multi-meters, oscilloscopes, digital thermometers, pressure meters, data loggers, and other reliability tools.
- Analytical and Reporting Skills:
- Expertise in CMMS and analytics tools for trending and analyzing reliability data.
- Familiarity with Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Knowledge of industry-standard RCM practices, including PT&I and asset condition reporting based on trend and risk analysis
