Overview :
As a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, you will be a key member of J.Jill’s Finance Leadership team. You’ll own financial support of operational areas of the business including Retail, Fulfillment Operations, Real Estate and Special Projects. The Director contributes to the achievement of J.Jill’s financial goals through the execution of the financial plans and the creation of Executive and Board level reporting and analysis.
Responsibilities :
Lead the Financial Support of J.Jill’s Key Operating Areas:
- Support key operating areas including the development of annual plan, forecasts and analysis to understand drivers of actual performance.
- Enhance analytics and reporting to support efficient operations and identify cost savings opportunities.
- Partner with business leaders to ensure achievement of plan and provide financial support to the operation.
- Work with the senior leadership team to develop long-range plans/financial models and policies.
- Maintain effective working relationships to ensure teamwork in achieving corporate goals.
Provide Financial Planning and Analysis Vision and Direction:
- Be a thought expert in driving continuous improvement and the evolution of J.Jill’s Financial, Planning & Analysis function.
- Run project based financial tracking for large IS and Capital projects. Ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
- Prioritize and ensure key strategic projects are implemented within budget and in a timely manner.
- Be flexible with ability to contribute to special corporate initiatives including Strategic/Long-range planning and capital structure (equity offering, dividend initiation, debt refinancings, etc.).
- Develop and guide a team of seven to nine including three managers

Qualifications :
Essential Skills and Experience:
- 10 years’ experience managing teams with the ability to identify, develop and motivate finance talent
- Extensive knowledge of top-down P&L expense planning and management
- Investment evaluation experience (NPV, ROI, IRR, etc.)
- Highly motivated with exceptional sense of curiosity to dissect, understand and improve operations
- Synthesize data for effective communication in Executive and Board materials
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience in a retail, e-commerce or consumer focused business
- Previous implementation of general ledger and FP&A systems
- Knowledge of three statement financial modeling
Physical Requirements:
- Sedentary work, prolonged periods of time working at a desk on a computer.
- Ability to communication information and observe details at close range.
- Light lifting may be required.
