Company and Position Overview : Our client, a 25 year, Colorado-based commercial construction company that focuses on energy-efficient, sustainable, LEED-certified projects in the commercial roofing sector, is hiring an Accountant. This position reports to the President / Owner and is responsible for full-cycle accounting in their small office in Englewood.
Schedule :
Monday – Friday, 8-hour days / 40 hours week
Open to start time (i.e. 7 AM, 9 AM, etc.)
Job Duties :
Provide full-charge bookkeeping duties
Provide monthly project-specific profitability reports
Prepare bi-weekly payroll (60 employees)
Monthly Bank Reconciliation
A / P processing
A / R collection and invoicing
Monthly, quarterly, and year-end tax reporting on state and federal levels
Preparation of financial statements
Completion of financial and tax reporting
Experience with fixed asset recording and depreciation management
Cost-saving analysis through subscriptions, early pay discounts, etc.
Prepare and post journal entries
Qualifications :
5 years of experience as a full-charge bookkeeper
Deep knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop financial software
Experience with construction-based accounting is a strong plus
Self-sufficient and able to work without an extensive amount of supervisory control
Motivated to work in a fast-paced business environment
Hard worker with attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
