In this role, you will lead on:
Financial Operations:
- Assist in the day to day operations for the Accounting department which includes processing invoices, AR collections, bill payments and recording daily cash transactions.
- Manage bill pay platform (Bill.com), ensuring all bills are entered accurately and routed for appropriate approvals.
- Process wire and ACH transactions accurately and timely and reconcile bank transactions with NetSuite, ensuring all payments and receipts are properly matched.
- Facilitate corporate credit card program (Brex) and expense review.
- Assist the Insurance Operations team with general accounting inquiries, AR collection efforts, and monthly reporting requirements.
- Manage revenue, accounts receivable, and accounts payable subledgers.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
Financial Close, Reporting and Compliance:
- Post and process month-end close journal entries in NetSuite, ensuring accurate recording of business transactions.
- Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts, investigating differences on a timely basis. Examples of reconciliations include cash, prepaid expenses, accounts receivable, unbilled receivable, accruals, etc.
- Assist in financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with requests and deliverables for financial audits and tax compliance.

What we're looking for:
- Minimum 2 years of Accounting work experience
- Strong understanding and knowledge of US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Proficiency in using NetSuite ERP system
- Intermediate Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel skills (Team primarily works in Google Sheets)
- Proven reconciliation skills including data manipulation and critical thinking
- Problem-solving skills with a passion for improving operational processes
- A critical eye for attention to detail
- A clear and strong communicator, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
It's a bonus if you also have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Working towards a professional certification in accounting (CPA)
- Familiarity with the Insurance industry
Market competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range of $70,000-$80,000. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s location, experience, qualifications, and skills.
