Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Production Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team, responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining production equipment in a cosmetic manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient production of skincare, haircare, and makeup products while following safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This role involves handling raw materials, mixing ingredients, operating machinery, and packaging finished products. This position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to work and learn in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in various production techniques and tools.
Duties
1. Production Operations:
- Operate and monitor cosmetic manufacturing equipment such as mixers, fillers, labelers, and packaging machines.
- Follow batch production records (BPRs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for mixing, blending, and processing cosmetic formulations.
- Accurately measure, weigh, and dispense raw materials according to formulation guidelines.
- Ensure proper mixing, heating, and cooling of ingredients for consistent product quality.
- Load and unload materials into processing machines as needed.
2. Quality Control & Compliance:
- Conduct in-process quality checks to ensure consistency in product texture, color, viscosity, and scent.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety regulations in handling ingredients and equipment.
- Identify and report any deviations or issues with product quality to supervisors or quality control teams.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, batch numbers, and inventory usage.
3. Equipment Maintenance & Safety:
- Perform routine cleaning, sanitization, and maintenance of production equipment.
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of raw materials and finished goods.
- Follow safety procedures for handling hazardous materials and operating machinery.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
4. Packaging & Labeling:
- Assist in filling, capping, labeling, and packaging finished cosmetic products.
- Ensure proper weight, volume, and labeling accuracy of packaged items.
- Perform visual inspections to detect packaging defects and correct issues.
5. Inventory & Material Handling:
- Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing raw materials and packaging components.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to the production supervisor.
- Properly dispose of waste materials according to company and environmental regulations.
- Follow batch production records (BPRs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for mixing, blending, and processing cosmetic formulations.
- Accurately measure, weigh, and dispense raw materials according to formulation guidelines.
- Ensure proper mixing, heating, and cooling of ingredients for consistent product quality.

Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training in manufacturing is a plus).
- Prior experience in cosmetics, food, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing preferred.
- Knowledge of GMP, hygiene, and safety regulations in a production environment.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot production machinery.
- Basic math and measurement skills for handling ingredients and batch mixing.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, problem-solving, and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift materials up to 50 lbs as needed.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced production facility with exposure to raw materials, powders, liquids, and fragrances.
- Requires standing, bending, and repetitive motions throughout the shift.
- May involve working in temperature-controlled environments.
