$17.19-$20.71/hour - Placement in the range will be determined based on experience and other factors allowed by law.
GENERAL SUMMARY
This position is responsible to control the flow of materials between the Warehouse and the Production Department. Supports the production department in executing jobs. Works closely with the Operations Management and Operations Employees to ensure on time and accurate builds.
COMPANY STANDARDS
- Maintains regular attendance and punctuality in order to perform tasks related to daily production and warehouse demands. This position performs all hours onsite and at all assigned physical locations of operations.
- Follows all safety rules and regulations; wears and/or uses required protective equipment while working; immediately reports any safety concerns or unsafe working conditions to Operations management.
- Conducts all aspects of job responsibilities in compliance with the JM Murray mission statement, policies and procedures, professional standards, and applicable governmental laws, rules and regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Create accurate labels based on daily or upcoming needs and maintain inventory of label and printing supplies.
- Complete all paperwork related to issuing of material; verify material and ongoing cycle counts of purchased high used parts, in order to keep warehouse inventory numbers accurate.
- Monitor jobs for accuracy; verify that materials have been returned once jobs are completed.
- Review jobs for closing and send the Director of Operations the daily list of jobs for 2 step verification and readiness for completion.
- Handles shortages of materials with departments, and works with sales department if substitutions are needed.
- Performs as a functional back up for the Team Leaders, as assigned.
- Operates manufacturing machines and equipment including, but not limited to, blister packing machines, shrink wrappers, digital scales, pallet jacks, etc.
- Participates in and completes all assigned training; attends all required meetings.
- Maintains equipment within area, and maintains a clutter free area.
- Represents JM Murray and the JM Murray mission in a positive manner, treating people with dignity and respect.
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED
1 yr. experience with manufacturing and/or a production environment preferred
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS
Basic reading and comprehension skills, and the ability to follow written instructions are required
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Basic computer skills for data entry and utilizing reports
Comprehensive verbal and written communication skills required
Problem solving and troubleshooting skills are needed on a daily basis
Knowledge of production planning and inventory control
Familiarity with safety (OSHA) regulations and quality control
WORKING CONDITIONS
Job assignments primarily may take place indoors. Assignments may take place in different locations of the production floor or in another JM Murray location.
