    Position Goal:

    The position of Coordinator of Student Services has the responsibility for instructional leadership in planning, management operation, and evaluation of educational programs of the District. Programs may include, but are not limited to: Health Services, Preschool, Section 504, Special Education, and Social Emotional Behavior. The Coordinator of Student Services will work collaboratively with the Administrative Team and Staff Members throughout the District.

    Qualifications:

    • Arizona Certificate in area of specialty (i.e., Special Education, Counseling, Social Worker, School Psychology)
    • Arizona Certificate in Administrative
    • Minimum of five years of satisfactory experience in area of specialty
    • Knowledge of Special Education
    • Knowledge of Health Services
    • Knowledge of Section 504
    • Knowledge of Social Emotional Behavior Services and Supports
    • Knowledge of Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
    • Technology Literacy
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent organization, time-management, and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication and program solving skills

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

    • Coordinate District student services ensuring compliance with all Federal and State statutes, regulations, and guidelines.
    • Compile, maintain and submit all required reports to State and Federal agencies.
    • Assist with the annual review, update, and writing of the district’s program & curriculum to areas of responsibility.
    • Assist with communicating district’s curriculum, program, and services related to areas of responsibility.
    • Assist with staffing and budget responsibilities within department, including grants.
    • Assist with supervision and evaluation of staff within the areas of responsibility.
    • Support implementation of district and state screening and assessment systems related to areas of responsibility.
    • Collaboration with district and school staff related to areas of responsibility.
    • Coordinate professional development within department and across departments and schools as appropriate.
    • Coordinate the MTSS system for the district in collaboration with Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment.
    • Provide and/or coordinate mentorship for new staff with areas of responsibility.
    • Facilitate IDEA and Section 504 related meetings.
    • Attending Governing Board meeting as requested.

    Perform related duties as assigned.

    Salary Schedule: Administrative Salary Schedule

    Benefits: Per District Policy

    Evaluation: Annual

    Contract: 12 Months, 261 Days

    Hours: Full-time, 8 Hours Per Day

    Reports to: Director of Student Services

    FLSA Status: Exempt
