Role Description:
The Assistant Operations Manager (Weekends) role will assign and direct process work performed at the fulfillment network partner site and supervise specific areas of operation. They report directly to the Operations Manager. This role runs the weekend operations for the Shipbob department independently from Friday-Sunday.
Responsibilities:
- Direct several operational aspects including distribution operations, people oversight, and inventory control
- Opening and closing the facility Friday-Sunday
- Maintaining a safety focused environment
- Manage several aspects of day-to-day operations
- High focus on the customer, ensuring that we deliver and meet their expectations
- Responsible for your site’s performance KPIs over the weekend. Identify and track key level metrics and plan continuous improvement efforts
- Ensure your facility follows established standard operating procedures
- Train, coach and motivate employees. You will be responsible for setting the team’s goals and managing them
- Share knowledge with operations managers on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities and needs
- Work directly with the Operations Manager to ensure all daily operational, merchant, and inventory metrics are exceeded.
- Ensure all SLAs are cleared by EOD and that KPIs are being upheld
Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly encouraged
- Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems
- Ability to lead and motivate a team of general associates
- Small Parcel pick and pack warehousing experience preferred
- PC and Microsoft Suite competency
- Strong written and verbal skills
