Role Descripton
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Art Installer to join our team. If you have an eye for detail, a passion for art, and the ability to handle delicate and large-scale artworks, we would welcome your application. This is a part time position, and flexibility in hours is essential.
Job Responsibilities
- Install artworks using a variety of hardware on variable surfaces.
- Work closely with art collectors and designers to determine installation requirements and ensure artwork is properly handled, placed, and displayed.
- Provide aesthetic recommendations and suggestions to clients when requested.
- Measure and hang artworks using appropriate techniques and tools.
- Demonstrate the ability to quickly troubleshoot and find solutions when challenges arise.
- Ensure artworks are securely fixed and safe for display.
- Must maintain a tool bag with essential installation tools (hammer, screwdrivers, level, drill, wire, etc.)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment during installations and deinstallations.
- Be punctual and reliable, arriving on time for scheduled installations.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in art installation, exhibition design, or similar work.
Knowledge of various hanging systems, rigging, and mounting techniques.
Ability to handle delicate artwork, including paintings, sculptures, and other fragile pieces, with care.
Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills with colleagues and clients throughout each project.
A background in art history, fine arts, or a related field is a plus, but not required.
