Position Description:
The Robotic Weld Operator supports the mission of JR Custom Metal Products/Anchor Fabrication Kansas by producing parts that meet the specification and quality standards of the customer.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Set up the robotic weld machines for operation
- Load and unload products to and from the machine.
- Position, align and secure parts against fixtures or stops on the machine.
- Perform work using safe work habits.
- Confirm welded pieces conform with product specifications and blueprints.
- Weld components, as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Undertake other duties appropriate to the role and level of responsibility of position.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and product specifications.
- The ability and maturity to perform in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
- The ability to operate hand tools.
- Continually demonstrate a productive and non-disruptive work ethic.
- Work in such a way as to create limited scrap or rework and work to continually improve quality level.
- Keep work area clean.
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
- Welding Technical Certificate or at least 1 year of industrial welding experience, preferred.
- Basic math skills with ability to read tape measure.
- Ability to read blueprints with knowledge of welding symbols.
Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds independently.
- Regularly required to stand, bend, stoop, squat or kneel.
- Exposure to shop environment.
Other:
- Reliable transportation & a good attendance record.
- Working more than 40 hours per week may be required on a frequent basis to complete company deliverables.
