Commercial Construction Project Manager (FL/TN/NC/SC)

For over 50 years, J.R. Hobbs Co. has been a trusted leader in the multi-family and hospitality HVAC market, providing high-quality HVAC systems for new construction and rehabilitation projects across the Southeast. We’re looking for a dynamic, results-driven Sales Manager to help drive our continued growth and success in the multi-family HVAC new construction sector.

Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily execution of project tasks, attending on-site and digital meetings with General Contractors, coordinating with Field Supervisors to ensure proper supervision and scheduling of sub-contractors, material ordering, delivery, and proper documentation and closeout of all projects. This role also entails accountability for the financial performance of any projects you are assigned.

In this role, you will build and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers through effective communication via phone, computer, and face-to-face interactions. Responsibilities include scheduling labor, inspections, and site surveys as requested by customers. Project Managers will also be expected to execute ‘cradle to grave’ management, including estimating time and materials & assembling bids as needed in lieu of the estimating department, following up with customers, executing contracts, and overseeing the completion of the project. You are the subject matter expert and first line of communication for division leadership regarding all aspects of your assigned projects.

This is a high-growth position requiring motivated, self-driving individuals who thrive in an open-ended environment.

The Project Manager will report directly to the Commercial Director and in addition to standard PM tasks, will also be acting as a satellite office of the JR Hobbs Commercial Division in their assigned territory, responsible for hunting new work, and locating field supervisors and other capable personnel to hire, expanding the local company’s local footprint. Growth will result in increased compensation and consideration for a region’s managerial role.
