What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Lathe Machinist/Set-up/Operator position at J&R Machine Works?
Fast-paced Aersospace Company looking for a CNC Lathe or Multi-axis Operator or Setup man
This is not an entry-level position. An onsite exam will be given to test competency in part inspection. The exam will require the use of a variety of inspection tools to inspect features with tight tolerances (± .0002").
Mandatory Skills:
*Must be familiar with and able to use a variety of inspection equipment. (Not just a caliper)
*Must be able to read complex blueprints. (Some of our parts have around 100 features with multiple tolerances of ±.0001)
*Must be punctual.
*Must be able to lift 50lbs.
Experience:
* Minimum 5 years experience as an operator of Lathe machines in an aerospace environment.
Duties:
* Able to problem-solve
* Adjust your own offsets as needed.
* Able to load and run parts.
* Able to select and use all necessary measuring tools as required for inspection of parts.
* Able to work from drawings, sketches, and verbal/written instructions.
* Able to maintain a clean & organized work area
* Able to work in a professional Aerospace Environment
