Location: Schoolcraft, MI (100% on-site position)
Job Objective: Provide reports, ERP and other software (training, testing, and system support) and process improvement support.
Job Responsibilities
- Initial point of contact for training and troubleshooting end user issues with SAP Business One, Warehouse Management and other corporate software.
- Record, document and track user issues through resolution using help desk software.
- Ensure timely escalation of issues when issues cannot be resolved using available resources.
- Report status, resolution and provide feedback to end users on unresolved issues.
- Assist with documentation and implementation of business process improvements.
- Create and implement automated distribution of approved reports.
- Coordinate testing of software updates. Document issues in a timely manner to support “go-live” schedules.
Duties
- Proactively stay abreast on all relevant software developments.
- Train new personnel on company’s software products.
- Train staff on new or modified software products and features.
- Record, document and track user issues through resolution using help desk software.
- Research unfamiliar software features and solutions to user problems.
- Report status, resolution and provide feedback to end users on unresolved issues.
- Assist end user with documentation/specification of business process software improvements and report requests.
- Create and assist in implementation of approved reports and process improvements.
- Re-engineer ERP software setup and /or process flow to improve efficient usage.
- Coordinate testing of software updates. Document and report errors in support of “go-live” schedules.
- Ensure compliance with Corporate IT Directive
Minimum Job Requirements, Skills and Qualifications
- Associates Degree from an accredited university (Bachelor preferred).
- Good understanding of business processes.
- Financial analysis and report creation experience.
- Strong software problem troubleshooting and resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently with a variety of people.
- Relevant ERP experience, preferably SAP B1, in a manufacturing company.
- Experience with user training and support.
- MS SharePoint, SQL Query, SSRS, Tableau or similar software.
- Ability to multi-task and perform in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in stressful situations.
- Must have excellent organizations skills, detail oriented, strong time management skills and flexibility to adjust schedule as needed.
Interactions and Tools/Equipment Utilized in the Job
- Consults with Data Center personnel and staff in other departments as needed.
- Closely cooperates with company’s IT Specialist.
- Utilizes standard office equipment and personal computer.
- Operates company car/rental cars.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in various locations, including office environments and manufacturing process facilities that may not have physically disabled person adaptations.
- This position requires sitting, typing and viewing computer screen for long periods.
Other
- 40 hours per week on-site
- Overtime as needed (pre-approval required)
- 20% travel
- hourly; commensurate with experience (wage range has been established by HR)
