Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia’s capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. The CETL & LRC Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting the operations of the Center for Teaching Excellence and Learning (CETL) and the Learning Resource Center (LRC). This position combines event planning expertise with administrative proficiency to manage and coordinate the growing responsibilities across both departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Coordination:
- Plan, organize, and execute major events, including Back to the Nest, Faculty Forum, faculty appreciation events, open houses, and in-service days.
- Support event planning and coordination for the Learning Resource Center’s initiatives, ensuring alignment with institutional goals.
- Coordinate logistics for guest speakers, catering, and distribution of event swag.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of high-quality events across CETL and LRC.
Administrative Support:
- Oversee CETL and LRC communications, including monitoring phones, emails, and responding to inquiries.
- Track professional development (PDO) hours in the Commonwealth of Virginia Learning Center (COVLC).
- Maintain accurate records and provide administrative support to ensure efficient operations for both departments
Asynchronous Program Support:
- Assist with the development of asynchronous offerings, including video editing and closed captioning, to support adjunct faculty and LRC programming.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all asynchronous content meets accessibility standards.
Learning Resource Center Support:
- Provide logistical and administrative assistance for LRC projects, workshops, and events, supporting student and faculty engagement.
- Contribute to LRC initiatives by coordinating resources, scheduling, and communications to enhance program delivery.
- Address the growing demands of both departments by supporting increased engagement in events and programs.
- Act as a key point of contact for faculty, staff, and event participants, providing high-quality service and coordination.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
