Our Meridian, Idaho corporate office is seeking a Director of Human Resources to lead the company’s HR functions. As a key member of the J-U-B Leadership team, you will work with executive management to align HR strategies with business goals and oversee HR initiatives that support the overall success of the business. You will be a key contributor and communication liaison to help develop and implement company-wide best practices for enhancing employee engagement, recruiting, programs, and processes. You will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of complex HR functions, organizational business strategy, and anticipate the changing needs of the company.
You will be responsible for functions that will include, but are not limited to:
- Plan, direct, and oversee all aspects of the Human Resources department (benefits, compensation, employee relations, recruiting practices, legal compliance, and training)
- Develop and execute strategies for employee retention, professional development, and career growth in conjunction with company training programs
- Oversee management and administration of employee benefits programs including health insurance, wellness programs, and other employee benefits
- Supervise and lead the HR team, providing mentorship and guidance
- Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company’s strategic plan
- Mitigate HR-related risks and ensure the company adheres to legal requirements and ethical standards
- Involved in employee relations and act as a liaison to ensure communication and alignment with company values
- Support HR Managers in their oversight of teams and encourage growth in the department
- Utilize HR analytics to track trends, workforce planning and inform business decisions
- Actively participate in internal and external meetings with other business leaders, benefit vendors or insurance brokers
- Act as EEO/Affirmative Action officer and ensure regulatory compliance of federal and state law requirements
- Exercise discretion and maintain confidential information
To be successful you will need the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field.
- A minimum of 20 years’ progressive work experience in HR, including 5 years in a leadership role, preferably at a professional services company
- PHR / SPHR, or SHRM-CP/ SHRM-SCP required.
- Experience working for a mid- to large-size multi-state employer
- Familiarity with self-insured benefits programs, preferred
- Experience using HR software systems. Paylocity and Payscale/PayFactors, preferred
- Strong interpersonal relations on all levels.
- Strong critical thinker, sound judgment, and strategic decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and to effectively multi-task and prioritize.
- Experience interpreting laws and regulations related to HR including EEO, Affirmative Action and FLSA.
Salary Range: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 annually, determined by experience
