We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Benefit Specialist to join our team. As a Benefit Specialist, you will be responsible for managing employee benefits programs, leaves, ACA and ensuring compliance with employment labor laws. This is a crucial role in our organization as you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to employees regarding their benefits.
The Benefits Specialist will assist with a variety of HR duties as assigned which may include and not limited to Benefits, Leaves, ACA, wellness program, associate engagement activities, training, associate recognition, special projects, and other duties as assigned. ADP Workforce Now experience and bi-lingual is preferred.
Duties:
- Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave process
- Ensure compliance with employment labor laws and regulations related to benefits
- Conduct research and stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in benefits administration
- Assist with the development and implementation of training programs related to benefits
- Collaborate with HR team to ensure accurate data collection and reporting for benefits administration
- Handle employee inquiries regarding benefits, resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain employee benefit records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
- Assist in the coordination of open enrollment activities
- Collaborate with external vendors to manage benefit programs effectively
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Benefit Specialist or similar role
- Strong knowledge of benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and supporting the leave process
- Familiarity with HRIS systems such as ADP and Microsoft 365 such as Excel
- Understanding of employment labor laws and regulations related to benefits administration
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations is preferred
