Role: The Host/Cashier maintains the restaurant-seating chart and ensures that guests are evenly distributed throughout open stations. He / She greets guests at the entrance and seats them as quickly as possible. He / She assists the management staff in the coordination of all employees to ensure efficient service to the guests; and to perform job responsibilities satisfactorily and to according to department standards. Adheres to all Company, Safety and Department policies and procedures. Fosters team work and provides excellent guest service, anticipates guest needs to exceed guest expectations. SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Must be 18 years of age, 1- year of hotel/restaurant Host experience; Must possess a positive attitude and work well with others team members; Must have strong communications skills (Verbal, Listening, Writing); Must be neat, clean and well groomed; Must be familiar with the menu, preparation procedures and prices; Good understanding of basic math

MAJOR JOB DUTIES: Duties include, but are not limited, to the following:
- Greet guests at the door, inquire as to their needs, and seat them accordingly
- Ensure dining room employees know where they are working and with whom.
- Distribute guests through the dining room as evenly as possible. Adjust seating based on level of service in certain stations.
- Implements dining room break schedule
- Administer work schedule set by management
- Handle money and operate point of sale system (Micros)
- Maintain guest focus while performing duties
- Able to assist staff in taking food and non-alcoholic beverage orders from guest.
- Accept guest payment, process credit card, room, account, department charges and make change
- Comply with Hotel cash handling procedures
- Follow direction and ask questions for clarifications
- Able to move throughout the restaurant during the entire shift
- Periodically check with guests to assure all needs are met
- Notify management of any dining room problems
