What are the responsibilities and job description for the Specialty Wok Cook - Jade - Full Time position at J W Marriott?
Culinary production in designated specialty area and in kitchens throughout the property. Assist in other areas as needed. Work directly with the Room Chef to plan and execute culinary trends and menu as needed. Perform job responsibilities satisfactorily
and according to department standards. Adheres to all Company, Safety and Department policies and procedures. Fosters team
work and provides excellent guest service, anticipates guest needs to exceed guest expectations. Builds brand loyalty by living the JW Marriott Core Values.
MAJOR JOB DUTIES:
Duties include, but are not limited, to the following:
· Prep and execute all menu items according to standards /
station / cuisine as directed by the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef.
· Work with Room Chef, Room Manager, cooks, and front of
the house staff to ensure positive guest experience.
· Meets attendance guidelines and adheres to regulatory,
departmental and company policies
· Must be able to cook and create new, innovative and
imaginative recipes.
· Must be able to react quickly and resolve problems.
· Ordering of food items as directed by the Chefs.
· Must work with Room Chef to assist with control food costs
· Must be able to follow and execute all recipes without
supervision.
· Work in a clean, safe and organized manner
· Maintain proper fire and ticket times
· Assist with replacing daily requisitions and rotating
and storing them
· Restock dishes and silverware as required
· Each associate is expected to carry out, within their
capabilities, all reasonable requests by management.
