Description
1st Priority – Daily Execution
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Train associates in proper preparation of work and to pick components following the Materials Zone standardized work and procedures
Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies
Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
Tailor training for associates based on understanding of basic adult learning principles
Maintain Zone Matrices for accuracy and ISO compliance to LSW
Provide support and perform Group Leader functions when necessary foster productive networks across the zone.
Assist the leadership group in location audits and material transactions
Assist leadership and team in all daily execution tasks, not limited to picking, locating, and handling all materials
2nd Priority – Skill Development
Work with Group leader to document individual skills via Skills Matrix process
Develop targeted skills within the Materials Zone Skills Matrix
Assist in demonstrating skills to new associates
Coach associates on material shortages process & assist in the calibration of quality standards to customer expectations
Assist in the development of others
Train all new associates on J.W. Speaker Onboarding Process, new standards and equipment
3rd Priority – Continuous Improvement
Surface problems utilizing the problem consciousness board, group metrics and performance
Utilize PDCA logic to provide effective solutions to problems
Follow 5s standards everywhere
Explain the importance of group metrics and performance
Identify and drive improvements to certification processes
Education
High School Diploma or GED
Experience
12 months of relevant experience
