Position Summary
Provide customers with custom solutions with corrosion inhibitors, biocides, water treatments, cleaners, paraffin control, H2S scavengers, and various other chemistries applicable to midstream. Work with field management to provide technical guidance on chemical, monitoring, and integrity programs. Assist in maintaining existing business while cultivating new opportunities.
Essential Functions
- Knowledge of product lines, production applications, midstream equipment and it’s effect on chemical programs
- Conduct field surveys to identify current treatment programs, existing or potential problems, and develop recommendations for treatment solutions.
- Provide sound technical advice and chemical recommendations of products to internal/external customers based on integrity requirements
- Build and sustain relationships with both current and potential customers
- Provide excellent customer service to our clients by troubleshooting and quickly resolving issues, maintaining financial and technical portfolios, and keeping customers informed of their performance
- Always maintain the highest level of safety
- Work well independently and in a team atmosphere
- Liaise between the field and the laboratory to develop and direct laboratory testing to support field recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is p.
- Prior oilfield experience is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
Skills & Abilities
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to manage GIS files and mapping programs.
- Customer Service Skills: Meet internal and external commitments, respond promptly to customer needs, and solicit customer feedback to improve service.
- Work Ethic: Be dependable, trustworthy, truthful, and credible in the workplace. Display a sincere desire to provide service or assistance, follow instructions, and take responsibility for own actions. Show a commitment to doing the best job possible.
- Physical Abilities: Lift and carry 50 pounds in various packaging. Tip and move 55-gallon drums, weighing up to 600 pounds, with the use of a drum dolly.
Work Environment
Indoors and outdoors, with driving involved. Employee should be prepared to work in extreme temperatures. Employee must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds, and manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude will be helpful. Frequently used safety equipment includes, but is not limited to: hardhat, safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, gloves, and an H2S monitor, as required.
