Responsible for the organization and tracking of chemical products needing to be re-packaged, re-labeled, re-blended, or disposed of as hazardous or non-hazardous waste.
Essential Functions
- Work in a non-climate controlled inside and outside environment year-round wherein chemical odors will be encountered.
- Transfer chemicals into hazwaste and non-hazwaste containers
- Locate, organize, and stage chemical needing to be re-blended based off production schedule.
- Perform a cost analysis on chemical to determine if still viable
- Forklift operation to load and unload trailers of chemical returns and chemical transfers.
- Performs assigned duties according to the current HSE safety standards
- Follows prescribed safety rules and regulations in performing assigned duties
- Track, update, and file all paperwork related to chemical waste, re-blend, repack procedures as well as utilize an excel spreadsheet(s) regarding all tasks mentioned.
- Computer Skills: A background in MS Office applications is required.
- Work Ethic: Be dependable, trustworthy, truthful, and credible. Display a sincere desire to provide service or assistance, follow instructions, and take responsibility for your own actions. Show a commitment to doing the best job possible.
- Physical Abilities: Lift and carry 50 pounds in various packaging. Tip and move 55-gallon drums weighing up to 600 pounds, using a drum dolly.
- Machine operation: Operate forklift, transfer pump, and other equipment directly related to job tasks.
- An indoor and outdoor environment in a non-controlled atmosphere wherein chemical odors will be encountered.
- Comply with all Federal, State, and Local laws
- Have the ability to read, write and speak in English fluently
- Adhere to guidelines, policies, and procedures as described in the Jacam handbook
- Adhere to Jacam’s Drug and Alcohol policy and agree to submit to random drug testing as a condition of employment
