Position: Non-Paid Intern (Social Media Manager, Podcasting & Video Production, Youth Counselor/Teacher)
Commitment: 120 Hours Total (3 hours per session on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Sundays)
Duration: Spring Semester '25
Location: Austin, TX (Remote opportunities may be available for certain tasks)
About Us:
At JACEY TV, LLC, we specialize in entertainment, media production, and educational initiatives, connecting people through creative content and community engagement. Our nonprofit, Youth Pathways Project Corporation, is dedicated to empowering youth through three pillars: podcasting and video production, youth development & emotional intelligence, and reading and writing literacy.
We are seeking passionate, driven college students pursuing careers in teaching, media production, or social media management to join our team as interns. This is an exciting opportunity for hands-on experience in a growing organization, with a focus on education, media, and community impact.
Social Media Manager Intern
- Assist with creating, curating, and managing content across multiple platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, etc.)
- Help develop social media campaigns to engage audiences and promote our initiatives
- Analyze social media metrics to improve performance
Podcasting & Video Production Intern
- Support the production of The Lunch Table PodcastATX and other content
- Assist in editing and creating engaging podcast episodes and video clips for distribution
- Learn the ins and outs of media production, including sound, video editing, and content strategy
Youth Counselor/Teacher Intern
- Assist in facilitating educational workshops focused on emotional intelligence, literacy, and media production
- Work with youth in a classroom or group setting to foster learning and personal development
- Support the development of lesson plans and educational materials
- Currently enrolled in a college program (preferably in teaching, media production, or related fields)
- Strong interest in youth education, media production, and social media management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Creative mindset and attention to detail
- Must be reliable and committed to the 120-hour internship requirement
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Hands-on experience in social media management, podcasting, and teaching
- Opportunity to gain exposure to the nonprofit and media production industries
- Be part of a passionate team working to make a difference in the community
- Letter of recommendation and college credit (if applicable)
- Flexible work environment (some tasks may be performed remotely)
