Commercial Hardwood Flooring Apprentice

Jack Laurie Group is seeking a dedicated and motivated Commercial Hardwood Flooring Apprentice to join our expert team at Jack Laurie Commercial Flooring. What You’ll Do:

• Work under the guidance of experienced installers to learn the fundamentals of hardwood flooring installation, repair, and finishing.
  

• Assist in measuring, cutting, and installing hardwood flooring in commercial spaces such as gyms, schools, offices, retail stores, and restaurants.
  

• Help prepare job sites by cleaning, leveling, and removing debris.
  

• Learn to sand, stain, and finish hardwood floors to perfection.
  

• Apply adhesives and assist with fastening flooring materials.
  

• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
  

• Develop the skills needed to advance into a full-time installer role.
  

What We’re Looking For:

• A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
  

• No prior flooring experience required—we provide paid training!
  

• Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment.
  

• Basic knowledge of hand tools and measuring equipment (a plus but not required).
  

• Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
  

• Physical ability to lift heavy materials and perform manual labor throughout the workday.
  

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (preferred).
  

• High school diploma or equivalent.
