Assist with other duties as assigned by the management team

Requirements :

Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record

Job Description :

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Porter to join our Service Department at Jack Schmitt, a reputable Ford dealership.

The Porter plays a crucial role in ensuring our service area runs smoothly and efficiently, providing outstanding support to both our technicians and customers.

Key Responsibilities :

Greet customers and assist them with vehicle drop-off and pickup.

Maintain an organized and clean service area, ensuring workspaces are tidy and free of debris.

Transport customer vehicles to and from the service bays safely and efficiently.

Assist technicians with moving parts, tools, and equipment as needed.

Perform light maintenance tasks, such as washing and vacuuming vehicles.

Monitor inventory levels and assist with parts handling and delivery.

Update service logs and customer information accurately.

Ensure all dealership policies and procedures are followed, particularly around vehicle safety and security.

Communicate effectively with service advisors and technicians to coordinate work flow.

Other duties as assigned by the service manager.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Previous experience in a dealership or automotive service environment is preferred but not required.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus but not required.
