Jack Schmitt Ford of Collinsville is seeking one talented, experienced automotive Sales Manager to help us get to the next level!
We are a well-established, reputable company with over 40 years in Collinsville. In 2024 we were ranked #1 out of all St. Louis Metro East Ford Dealers in new Ford Sales Volume and our pre-owned business continues to grow. This is an almost certain $100k opportunity this year with no improvement and realistic potential to earn in the $150k plus range.
Out of town candidates will not be considered for these positions, we are seeking individuals who live within 90 miles of downtown St. Louis, MO or could quickly and easily relocate.

- Demonstrated leadership ability within a dealership environment.
- Thorough understanding of the retail automotive industry.
- Track record of success.
- The ability to effectively communicate, train associates, and manage a strong selling process effectively.
- The ability to uphold our company's reputation through providing a world class purchasing and ownership experience.
- The ability to maintain our top-level customer satisfaction scores.
- The ability to effectively desk and close deals and navigate manufacturer incentives and applications for success. You must be prepared to go to bat every time for our sales team and for the customer!
- Understanding of CRM applications and CDK..
- Willingness to adapt new technologies and evolve as our business does.
- Outstanding phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
- Willing to try new methods of marketing and measure and report on results.
- Controls expenses.
- Solid understanding of the used car market and the ability to appraise vehicles accurately and effectively.
- Great at motivating others to see success.
- Understands visual merchandising techniques.
- Capable of managing inventory and investment effectively.
- Able to use data to drive decisions- (VAuto or similar inventory management program, CRM, online wholesale platforms, recon tracking, etc.)
