Job Duties
- Responsible for auditing and processing confidential data and payments to carriers and agencies in support of the County's healthcare benefits including medical, dental, life, Health Savings Account (HSA), and various supplemental insurance plans.
- Analyzes, reconciles and approves bi-weekly associate benefit deductions; analyzes benefit applications, associate terminations, benefit and payroll change authorizations before processing; maintains and audits bi-weekly deduction benefit registers for accuracy.
- Prepares and submits payment vouchers and cash receipt forms; prepares and distributes benefit correspondence to associates and retirees.
- Conducts new hire orientation as needed; assist with collecting and providing data for the County's pension program, workers compensation, ACA requirements, etc.; carefully maintains benefit files including COBRA detail.
- Responsible for the timely processing of new hire benefits, "change in status" requests, retiree coverage and benefit cancellations.
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration or related field
- Three years of personnel and benefits program experience
- Must be able to type at least 30 WPM.
- Must submit to/pass pre-employment and drug screen.
