District Data Manager
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Non-Exempt, 12-Month Position; Full-Time; 8 hours per day
SALARY: NC 11-12
PURPOSE: The District Data Manager supports student information systems data, enrollment/withdrawal, scheduling, grades/assessment scores, CRDC, Graduation, IAM, Students Report Cards, historical records. The District Data Manager will be responsible to ensure all required NCSIS related procedures and reports, at school, district and state level, are accurately completed on time. This role will work closely with school data managers and other administrators and staff involved in the use of school data entering, reporting, and analysis. The District Data Manager will also provide training to school data managers and troubleshoot any NCSIS related issues or submit support tickets to the NCSIS help desk.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum High School diploma, preferred Associate degree in Computer Technology, Business Administration, or other related area.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all users while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
- Experience with NCSIS or other student information system.
- Experience with Windows, MS Office, and Google preferred.
- Knowledge of laws and policies that govern student data.
DUTIES:
- Serves as the NCSIS expert at the district level by supporting school data managers and administrators.
- Administers and audits NCSIS user security for all district users.
- Generates or facilitates reports at the district level.
- Schedules and facilitates meetings and training with school data managers as necessary.
- Facilitates transferring student information between schools, including records requests.
- Maintains database for auto dialers that interface with the student information system.
- Works with a variety of departments to accurately input, maintain, reconcile, and report data to the school system.
- Supports all school Data Managers for all NCSIS processes including but not limited to scheduling courses, enrolling and withdrawing, transferring, entering records, verifying and cleaning data, reports, etc.
- Provides professional development on the NCSIS system to all stakeholders.
- Ensures that all laws, policies, procedures and regulations that involve student data are adhered to.
- Provides transcripts to prior students upon request.
- Serves as team player and role model for other employees in the organization; demonstrates a commitment to continuous quality improvement; supports and exhibits organizational core values of caring, respect, integrity, responsibility, high expectations, being customer driven, and valuing diversity.
- Performs other duties and accepts responsibilities as assigned.
