What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School Health Sciences CTE Teacher position at Jackson County Public Schools?
High School Teacher
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Exempt Position; 10-month position per school year; Full-Time; Starting August 2025
QUALIFICATIONS: NC Educator License in Health Science-Registered Nurse or willingness to obtain NCDPI teaching license. Registered Nurse license required. Preferred clinician experience in long-term care, assisted living, home care, hospital, physician’s office or public health department to include clinics, and/or surgical facilities.
DUTIES: Responsible for the delivery of CTE programming in aligned areas as outlined in NC Standard Course of Study for Health Science, responsible for health science credentials as determined by NCDPI programming, normal duties of a classroom teacher and other duties that may be assigned by the principal or superintendent. The vision for this teacher would be to add in a new Medical Assisting program leading to a certified industry credential.
