Responsibilities
As an Online High School Instructor, your primary responsibilities will include:
• Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of high school students
• Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic growth and success
• Assessing student progress and adjusting instruction accordingly
• Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and improve instructional methods
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must have:
• A two-year college degree (associate's degree) or higher from an accredited institution of higher education
• Technology literacy and related assessment of that competency, validated by attaining the established minimum score or higher on an assessment approved by the Mississippi Department of Education
• Occupational experience and related assessment of that experience, with at least two years of verifiable experience in the past ten years, appropriate to the subject to be taught
• Teacher education preparation and related assessment(s) of that education, including enrollment in the Vocational Instructor Preparation (VIP) program and completion of the NCCER Instructor Certification
