Receptionist/Administrative Assistant
Job Description:
The Receptionist/Administrative Assistant is a key member of the Jackson Demolition team and plays a critical role in ensuring successful day-to-day operations. The Receptionist/Administrative Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks including but not limited to greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and other duties as assigned. This position reports to the Chief of Staff.
Essential Functions:
Greets visitors, answers phone calls, and directs calls to appropriate personnel
- Performs a variety of general administrative duties in support of the administrative activities, operations and staff (filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, etc.).
- Screen and route incoming telephone calls, taking messages, respond to inquiries from the public, vendors and subcontractors.
- Assemble and distribute a variety of documents, manuals and materials.
- Inventory, order and maintain company office and kitchen supplies; maintain cleanliness and assure office and office kitchen areas are neat and orderly when guests are visiting the company; organizes and distributes incoming/outgoing mail and FedEx; ensures that all supplies are available to support day-to-day operations
- Aids in the planning and implementation of company luncheons/events.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Knowledge and experience to independently perform substantial clerical or office work of any kind.
- Strong verbal and interpersonal skills and the ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Be a self-motivated individual and display initiative.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred in related field.
- Must be able to work 8AM to 5PM, Monday - Friday.
- Previous office administration experience is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
