Human Resources Internship

POSITION OBJECTIVES:

To support the Human Resources departmentin the completion of projects and tasks and provide support to internal customers as needed.Project work may include data and analytical information transfers and auditing of data and records.

Position requirements

EDUCATION:?Must be enrolled in an accredited school, pursuing either an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in human resources, business administration, business management, organizational management or related field.

EXPEREINCE:?Preferexperience with computer systems, secretarial, administrative, or business practices similar to those at Jackson EMC.

KNOWLEDGE:?Requirea solid basic working knowledge of computer systems and general human resources related functionssuch as record keeping and report generation.

SKILLS:?Requirethe ability to accomplish the following: scanning, proofing, filing, data entry, effective communication, and ability to follow instructions/directions.

RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports to: Director, Human Resources

Directs: None

Internal: Shall foster the development of those supportive relationships essential to the fulfilling of the functions of this position, achieving the results expected and encouraging throughout the organization the concepts of teamwork and cooperative spirit.

External: Shall maintain supportive relationships withemployees,member consumers, the general public and other contacts to assure that satisfactory results are achieved.

Physical activity of the position: Hearing, talking, repetitive motions.

Physical requirements: Sedentary

Visual Acuity: Machine operator (including inspections).

Conditions: Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

To fulfill the objectives of the position the employee so designated shall have full and complete authority to carry out the responsibilities assigned to this position, making all decisions necessary within the limits of approved budgets, policies, and system practices.

Essential functions of the job:

1. Support the Human Resources department as needed.

2. Assist in gathering data as instructed.

3. Assist in organizing and filing employee personnel files.

4. Assist with preparation and tasks for orientations and training sessions

5. Participate in special projects as instructed.

6. Provide necessary assistance to internal customers

7. Be familiar with and follow the best safety practices set forth in the Cooperative'sSafety Manual.

8. Attend job training and safety meetings as required or directed.

9. Complete monthly required cyber security training.

9. Attend and participate in annual meeting as needed and available.

10. Perform other duties as may be required or directed.
