Summary
The Pastoral Care Intern will have a significant role in personnel administration and employee relations.
Responsibilities
- Engage in initial familiarization and goal-setting meeting with pastor.
- Participate in weekly reflection and mentoring meetings with pastor.
- Complete any assignments agreed upon in mentoring meetings (readings, written reflections, experiential learning).
- Engage in other pastoral tasks as determined in discussion with the pastor and personnel committee.
- Complete a significant project to be determined in conversation with the pastor and church leadership.
- Demonstrates behaviors of service excellence and CARE values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Expertise).
- Performs all other related job duties as assigned.
Experience
Generally requires 0 to 3 years of related experience.
Education
High school diploma is required.
Credentials
Valid license or certification is required as needed, based on the job or specialty.
