Summary
The Senior Workforce Management Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the Director of Workforce Management at a system-level, enhancing the organization's Workforce Management Steering Committee's effectiveness. This senior position requires the individual to conduct advanced analyses, status updates, reports, workplans, dashboards, and oversee communication/planning activities for workforce management initiatives. The Senior Analyst will also lead in the development of sophisticated workforce management related materials.
Responsibilities
- Leads the preparation of advanced analysis, status updates, reports, workplans, dashboards, and communication/planning activities for the Director - Workforce Management, enhancing the functions of the system-level Workforce Management Steering Committee.
- Partners with business and facility leaders to proactively identify and capitalize on opportunities within financial operations and workforce management, including the development and implementation of workforce standards, internal benchmarks, and assessing the business impact of operational initiatives across the system.
- Spearheads workforce management projects, providing leadership in reporting and analysis for industry research, benchmarking, and operational feasibility studies.
- Demonstrates a high level of autonomy, precision, and confidentiality in managing analytical and reporting functions related to workforce management, ensuring the protection of all patient, employee, and company data.
- Oversees the delivery of accurate and consistent management reporting to facilitate expedited decision-making processes.
- Leads in the standardization of productivity reporting, standards, units of service, and the application of internal benchmarks across the system.
- Manages the analysis and reporting from the productivity system used by all facilities, aiding in the monitoring of operational and financial performance and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Develops and maintains internal benchmarking reports, utilizing department-level performance data to initiate process improvements towards best practices.
- Provides advanced reporting and analytical support to facility leaders on various functions, including productivity standards, management and variance reporting, position control process, and cross-functional collaboration with finance, IT, budget, and other departments for system-wide accurate reporting.
- Offers consultative, technical, and decision-making support to the Director regarding financial and operational improvement and program development.
- Analyzes productivity management opportunities and supports the Director in workforce-related enterprise projects with comprehensive workforce reporting.
- Maintains responsibility for regular workforce management reporting and responds to ad hoc requests for information from both system-level leadership and facility level leadership.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience
- 3-5 years finance and operational experience supporting finance, operations, productivity, benchmarking and/or workforce management projects in a healthcare environment.
- Experience with desktop applications including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Project and Access.
- Strong analytical skills to gather and interpret data, to solve problems and to prepare clear and concise reports.
- Requires advanced computer skills with a strong knowledge of spreadsheet programs.
- Prior exposure to SAP and EPIC is highly desirable.
Education
Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university in Finance, Accounting, Business or a closely related field is required.
Credentials
Valid license or certification is required as needed, based on the job or specialty.
