Place of Performance:
- VA Maine Healthcare System, 1 VA Center, August, ME.
- Hospital & Laboratory setting.
Schedule:
- Day, evening, limited weekend and holiday shifts available.
- No night shifts.
- Possible overtime may be required.
- Must be flexible to work different shifts based on staffing needs.
Job Duties:
- Perform blood draws (venipuncture & capillary collection).
- Collect blood for inpatients, outpatients, emergency department (ED), STAT, ASAP, and timed draws.
- Sample processing & proper labeling.
- Identify patients properly before collection.
- Follow infection control & safety protocols.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of recent Phlebotomy experience.
- Must be trained in hospital-based phlebotomy services.
- Strong patient communication skills required.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
