Position Title: Marketing Automation Manager
Reports To: Digital Marketing Manager

Role Responsibilities
- Manage SMS Marketing, Email marketing, JH Insider app push notifications, and the CRM database.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of data and industry trends; use this data to continually improve the process, messaging and outcome of guest engagement initiatives.
- Ensure targeted guest messaging share a consistent voice and presentation specific to each guest segment.
- Work internally and with technology vendors to ensure accurate data capture and segmentation of guest data.
- Design and copywrite emails with a strong creative vision for each email.
- Develop and maintain a regular cadence of outreach to primary guest segments. Tailor email content to specifically suit each segment to drive engagement and revenue.
- Analyze ecommerce- and email-related data metrics and reports to determine effectiveness of email marketing campaigns and constantly strive to improve upon prior results.
- Develop and maintain all automated email campaigns company wide. Work cross-departmentally with internal stakeholders to create emails that accurately reflect their communication needs.
- Development and execution of plans to grow and nurture a strong and engaged email database.
- Collaborate with Inntopia peers to accomplish messaging goals.
- Be JHMR’s automated marketing subject matter expert. Stay current on industry trends.
- Manage relationships with external agencies and partners to effectively execute common goals and maintain successful partnerships.
- Develop messaging templates designed to drive increased engagement for all segments and encourage progression through the customer lifecycle.
- Grow SMS database by developing and maintaining strategy for engagement with guests.
- Leverage our SMS platform’s functions to accomplish outreach goals.
- Understand audience segmentation within the app & plan best cadence for marketing communications
- Plan and design promotional pushes at a frequent cadence to enhance guest engagement with the brand and initiatives.
- Set up Automated Pushes for pre-arrival/post-departure
- Ensure all internal software solutions are synchronized and data is current and accessible from the CRM database.
- Work events as needed to support brand activations and initiatives.
- Help with writing blogs on the website.
- Help with website edits.
- Assist Sales & Special Events with groups, events, etc.
- On- and off -mountain photography
Qualifications
- Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills and an ability to work with competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with resort industry concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Strong copywriting skills
- Strong understand of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to learn new software systems and platforms.
- Team mentality to work with the entire Marketing team on key business objectives.
- Ability to understand key business initiatives and design and execute effective email campaigns that achieve desired goals.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent on the job experience.
- Minimum 2 years working in email marketing or related field.
- Minimum 2 years data analysis experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or other related field
- Previous experience in a professional marketing capacity, email marketing, and CRM management.
- Previous experience with BeeFree, Adobe Creative Suite, Litmus, Inntopia Marketing Cloud, and Acoustic platforms.
- Previous experience in the ski or outdoor recreation industry.
- Professional photography and/or video portfolio.
