Part-time Nanny

Part-Time Nanny (24-28 hrs a week)

Location: Game Creek in Jackson

Schedule:

April 2025-One year minimum commitment

• Tuesday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Optional Friday: 4 hours in the morning (details to be discussed)
• Flexibility required for additional hours if needed (e.g. date nights or occasional errands)

Position Overview: We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and experienced part-time nanny to care for our children during the week. This role involves supporting daily routines, assisting with child care tasks, and ensuring a safe, organized, and engaging environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and enthusiastic about working with children.

Weekly Responsibilities:

• Morning Routine:
• Drop child off at school by 8:30 AM.
• Assist with getting children ready for the day (dressing, breakfast, etc.).
• Support with naps and light activities as needed.
• Childcare & Household Support:
• Clean bottles and pump parts for infant care.
• Change children's bed sheets and towels regularly.
• Wash and organize children’s laundry, ensuring clothes are folded and put away.
• Assist with potty training for young children.
• Pick child up from school between 2:45–3:00 PM.
• Unpack child’s schoolbag, sort out papers, and load dishes into the dishwasher.
• Activities & Errands:
• Attend appointments or activities with mom, or help manage logistics during the day.
• Light meal preparation for children (breakfast/lunch/snack).
• Light cleaning tasks (tidying up, clearing spaces used during the day).
• Additional Duties:
• Watch baby at home for short periods while mom runs errands or goes to the gym.
• Take children to scheduled activities or the park on Friday mornings, or care for the baby during other children’s activities.
• Occasionally stay with children during parents’ time away, such as labor or other events.

Possible Extra Asks:

• Watch children during occasional date nights.
• Take children to local activities, parks, or outings.
• Travel with the family on vacation once per year.
• Let the dogs outside for potty breaks.
• Assist with care if children are home unexpectedly from school.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a nanny or in a similar child care role.
• Comfortable with basic household tasks, including light cleaning and meal prep.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Flexibility to adapt to occasional extra hours or changes in schedule.
• Background check required.

Compensation:$30-$40 an hour
