Maintenance Supervisor
The Housing Authority of the County of Jackson is currently seeking a dedicated Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing maintenance operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and in compliance with State and Federal safety regulations. The Maintenance Supervisor will play a key role in managing the maintenance team, coordinating schedules and implementing maintenance plans to uphold the facilities operational efficiency. This will be a full-time position of 40 hours per week Monday thru Friday. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all building systems, equipment, contracts and facilities operate at peak efficiency. Be able to resolve issues that arise in order to keep both building maintenance activities running smoothly and take care of any repairs needed on-site if there's an emergency. Must have knowledge of housing construction, the ability to prepare cost analysis and estimates and the ability to read blue prints and write specification, and to schedule maintenance in a timely manner. They must exercise independent judgment and initiative in performing assigned duties. They must also exercise tact and courtesy in contacts with coworkers, residents, representatives of other agencies, contractors, architects and the general public. Requires to maintain a pest control applicator's license, a high school education and training equivalent to a two-year college or certification from a technical school in one or more skills related to the job.
