Job Summary
Focused on the internal operations and efficacy of the team, the Billing and Collections Operations Manager will be responsible for supporting the Billing & Collections department on creating and maintaining operational best practices for the support of our internal and external clients. The successful incumbent will be responsible for creating and maintaining departmental process documents, developing and delivering training materials, and monitoring departmental key performance indicators. The Billing and Collections Operations Manager will work closely with department managers as well as the Senior Director as the central point of contact for all Billing and Collections new hires related to their training and departmental on-boarding activities ,and serve as an escalation point in the department to support operational best practices for the team, in addition to reviewing team utilization reports and evaluating other metrics . This role will report to the Senior Director of Billing & Collections.
Essential Functions
- Support the Billing and Collections team in effectively managing their respective regions and client groups by focusing on efficiency and consistency.
- Proactively identify process design opportunities and implement changes to drive operational efficiency, and timely billing and collections outcomes.
- Implement QA / QC best practices related to the billing & collections process; audit outcomes for expected results and create training opportunities for teams to support continuous learning and development.
- Leverage data analytics to create robust reports and dashboards that monitor billing and collections processes and other KPIs. Leverage reports to support day-to-day operations and develop planning and prediction capabilities; support internal stakeholders reporting and analysis needs.
- Conduct orientation / training sessions for new hires, introducing them to company policies, procedures, and the Finance systems; Assess the training needs of the billing & collections team and tailor training programs to address specific gaps.
Design and update training materials, manuals, and guides to ensure the materials stay current and relevant.

Educational Requirements
For New York, the expected salary range for this position is between $95,000 and $105,000. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
