We are seeking a Billing Operations Manager to lead and optimize our international billing team. This role requires a strategic leader to manage the workload, develop and drive process improvements, while ensuring efficient billing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong billing operations experience in a professional service environment, global team management skills, strong communication skills and a proven ability to enhance efficiency while aligning billing priorities with business goals
Responsibilities
Team Management:
- Oversee the workload of a large international billing team, ensuring tasks are appropriately assigned and deadlines are met.
- Monitor team availability and allocate resources effectively to handle fluctuating workloads.
- Support team members by fostering collaboration and providing guidance on complex billing issues.
- Continuously review and analyze team performance to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
- Develop and implement creative solutions to streamline operations and address workload challenges.
- Proactively reassess workload assignments to adapt to changing priorities, client needs, or team capacity.
- Proactively manage the team to accommodate changing priorities, client needs, and team capacity.
- Strategically manage workloads to ensure seamless billing operations during peak volume periods.
- Managing the billing team during extreme volume events to ensure that biller’s workloads do not limit the ability to start and bill invoices in a timely manner.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, ensuring billing priorities align with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with project teams and other departments to address billing issues or discrepancies promptly.
- Communicate regularly with senior leadership to report on team performance, operational challenges, and process improvement initiatives.
- Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in billing operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Experience managing international teams is highly preferred.
- Previous roles where you developed team members and grew teams to meet organizational expansion.
- Previous work conducting billing activities within Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.
- Experience in developing processes based on workflows within Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.
