Qualifications
The ER Registrar Coordinator manages the daily operations for all ER patient registration functions to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives including Lab, Surgery, Radiology, Cardiology, and Rehab. Implements and supports HSC processes, policies and procedures as directed. Works with PFSD in identifying opportunities for improvement in customer satisfaction, quality performance and fiscal responsibility.
oCustomer Service (fostering a service-oriented attitude with Patients, Physicians, Office Staff and Ancillary Department personnel).
oDeveloping / Monitoring Performance standards for all OP Patient Access team members performing Registration duties :
Accuracy and quality of data collected.
Quantity of data collected.
Timeliness in the registration process and cycle time in getting the patients to their point(s) of service utilizing OPTUM.
Upfront collections.
Oversees PBX Functions
oStaff scheduling.
oRecruitment (selecting candidates with positive attitudes and aptitudes (pre-testing, when possible, to ensure their ability to be successful and meet expectations.
oAssist PFSD with Team Member evaluations (to include performance improvement initiatives, when necessary).
oOn-going staff education / training.
oBudgets.
oRegulatory Compliance.
oDepartmental contracts.
