Position Purpose: Provide mental health treatment services for clients and their families in an outpatient setting to decrease hospitalization, crisis episodes and to increase community functioning in order for the client to achieve rehabilitative, resiliency and recovery goals. Provide continuity of program services in an ethical, legal and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards. Participate as a member of the outpatient clinical team.
Job Qualifications/Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Addiction Studies or other related field.
- Hold a current tLMHC or LMSW Iowa license or
- Be independently licensed in Iowa as a LISW, LMFT or LMHC (preferred).
- Proficiency in using common computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
- Skilled in navigating and documenting within electronic healthcare records systems.
- Capable of completing required documentation accurately and within established timeframes.
- Experienced in providing individual, family, and group counseling.
- Collaborative team player with a strong ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Work hours prescribed by and any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned.
- Conduct individual, group, and family counseling and educational sessions for clients and/or family members.
- Complete client psychosocial and individualized treatment plan within required time frame.
- Identify client clinical and case management needs and work to address those needs.
- Educate client and client support members regarding all aspects of treatment, corresponding health issues and steps to recovery.
- Ensure that documentation in client service record is maintained consistent with expectations defined by licensing, accreditation, and funding requirements.
- Maintain communications with all staff (e.g. admissions, case management and discharge plans).
- Present workshops, lectures and training to clients, families, and staff and community groups as needed.
- Serve as a member of the team and participate in all team meetings and activities.
- Exercise confidentiality in keeping with the Code of Conduct and with the framework of the law.
- Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
- Serve as a member of the Clinical Team and participate in all team meetings and activities.
- Serve as a role model and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing the agency.
- Assume other related responsibilities as delegated by management.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday; 8:30AM-5PM
